Twitterature – Book Roundup in Short Form

So, like last month I am doing a book roundup Modern Mrs Darcy style – in Twitter format.

Over the past month I’ve read the following books:

The Almond Tree by Michelle Cohen Corasanti: Important story about the #Palestine conflict, but ultimately unsatisfying with flat characters and reads like a list of events.

Voyager (Outlander) by Diana Gabaldon: Third book in the amazing #Outlander series, with its delightful universe of #history, #fantasy and #romance taking place in #Scotland.

The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat: And Other Clinical Tales by Oliver Sacks: Astonishing collection of #nonfiction stories about the ins and outs of our #brain, and how it affect our lives.

Born to Win: Keeping Your Firstborn Edge without Losing Your Balance by Dr. Kevin Leman: Great #nonfiction book about the pros and cons of being a #firstborn #perfectionist – and how to deal with it, and make the most of it.

What books have you been reading this month? I’d also love for you to connect with me on Goodreads.

  1. I love Kevin Leman and his birth order books, but how did I miss Born to Win? I’ve never heard of it, but this firstborn is adding it to her reading list RIGHT NOW.

    Love your hashtags for Voyager!

    • I think Born to Win is rather new – I love his birth order books too. Also, I’m not at all surprised that you’re a first born too 😉 I thought it was really good, as I definitely suffer both the positives and negatives of being a first born (of a first born mother nonetheless, actually, I’m 5th generation of first born women).

Voyager is great, although of course I’d recommend starting from the beginning and read Outlander first. It is such a hard series to describe as well, but I just love it.

    • Actually, I just looked it up, and apparently Born to Win was first released under the title of Firstborn Advantage. Born to Win is the title for the Kindle edition 🙂
