April Twitterature – Book Roundup in Short Form

It’s the middle of March, so it has become time for yet another Twitterature by Modern Mrs Darcy Roundup.

The past month has been very busy, and I haven’t read as many “proper” books, but here are the ones I did finish:

How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie: A classic for a reason, you’ll get much further by being genuinely interested in other people, than by talking about yourself. (Full review should be up this Wednesday)

Cracking the LinkedIn Sales Code by Jill Konrath: Find out how top sales people use LinkedIn. Great (free) introduction to LinkedIn as a sales tool, but very basic.

How Much Do You Weigh?: The Stigma-Defying Photobook by Erin S. Nieto: Great and interesting look at the way we see “the number on the scale”, and really brings home the point that at the end of the day, it’s just a number.

The Anatomy of a Five Star Email by Meghan Lockwood: Very basic (and free) introduction to Internet and email marketing.

What have you been reading this month? As always, feel free to follow and connect with me on Goodreads.

  1. I’ve never read How to Win Friends, although I’ve resolved to read it many a time. Thanks for the gentle reminder. 🙂

  2. I read the Dale Carnegie book many years ago when I took the class. What an amazing experience that was! I really think I need to re-read the book.

    Found you from MMD’s link-up.
