June 2013 Twitterature Roundup

Once again we reach the middle of the month, so it’s time for another Twitterature round up as part of Modern Mrs. Darcy’s Roundup. Short, casual reviews in less than 140 characters. The past month has been a bit slower in terms of reading, but I am also almost finished with another 2-3 books, so I think next months roundup will make up for it.

The Mystery of Mercy Close by Marian Keyes: I normally adore Marian Keyes witty, intelligent and thought-provoking chick-lit, but this one rang hollow to me. #Pass

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change  by Stephen R. Covey: Sound principles to build your life on, although much of this wisdom has made it into popular culture by now. #Classic (Read my full review here.)

The Primal Blueprint: Reprogram your genes for effortless weight loss, vibrant health, and boundless energy by Mark Sisson: Excellent introduction to the #Primal/#Paleo lifestyle with lots of food for thought. (Full review here)

As always I invite you to find me and connect with me on Goodreads.

  1. 2 of 3 of these are on my shelves. After your review, I won’t waste my time on the first one.

    • Yeah, unfortunately I can’t recommend it and I normally really enjoy Marian Keyes’ books.

  2. Been trying to ease into the Paleo lifestyle… as I snarf down pretzels during kids naptime. Think I need to pick this one up…

  3. I’m going to check out The Primal Blueprint, after hearing about the Paleo lifestyle everywhere I’d love to have more in-depth reading on it.
