October Twitterature 2014

There was no Twitterature in September, as I started my new job with Dropbox and was way too busy to read books. This month has been going better though! As always, linking up with Modern Mrs Darcy.

TransAtlantic by Colum McCann: Intriguing + intertwining stories from both sides of the Atlantic (US + Ireland) from the past 150 years. (Currently $2.42 on Kindle)

The Thing Around Your Neck by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie: Delightful collection of short stories revolving around Nigeria – past and present, locally and abroad. #Recommended (Currently $3.99 on Kindle)

isnt-it-well-for-ye-189x300Isn’t it Well for Ye? the book of Irish Mammies by Colm O’Regan: Funny, light-hearted collection of stereotypes around Irish mammies.

desert_flowerDesert Flower: The Extraordinary Journey of a Desert Nomad by Waris Dirie: The journey from desert nomad to international fashion model, before starting her fight against FGM. (Apparently also a movie now, haven’t watched it).

Untitled-1The Primal Connection: Follow Your Genetic Blueprint to Health and Happiness by Mark Sisson: Health is more than what you eat, it’s also sleep, light, community, nature etc. Highly #Recommended (full review)
